WHY NOT AN ALL WHITE WEDDING?

White is the absence of color but in a wedding it is definitely not the absense of meaning. Though neutral, white is hardly plain. White is an everlasting color for weddings and in my opinion will always be a timeless look. Table and ceremony decor, flowers and favors can all be done to make a fabulous statement for either a summer or a winter wedding so go ahead, lay on the details: fabrics, pipins, scrolls and overlays. Bright white can bring elegance and formality to even the most casual events too. The all white wedding theme can also bring old Hollywood glamour where you are the star and the glitz and glamour is all in the way your wedding is decorated. Think about these flowers for the all-white bouquet: Avalanche or Bianca roses, classic callas, flirty peonies, lilies of the Valley, hydrangeas, tulips and stephanotis. Other great choices: white orchids or gerber daisies, dahlias or spider mums, lisianthus or Casablanca lilies. Make sure you mix textures and types for a contemporary look. You could wrap your bouquet in a shiny satin ribbon wrap studded with pearl pins.
Ice white wedding themes are becoming more and more popular for brides, regardless of their wedding date and now we're seeing more and more weddings flanked by white from start to finish. Best of all? When you look over your wedding album years later, you'll never think, "yeah, that was 2008." You'll see a timeless-looking celebration, not a period style.
A Few More Ways to Set the Stage
• Drape the grounds' most decorative shrubs and topiaries in white tulle or organza. • Use floating lengths of organza to fashion pew markers and arch decor. • Scatter heaps of white rose petals down a grassy aisle, with a few tinted petals thrown in for depth (such as soft pink or lavender).
